Similar to a Shopify store, with a Mighty Network, a brand or creator has their own online destination with their choice of features and the ability to charge for digital subscriptions, online courses and products under their own brand and are instantly available on their own website and through native mobile apps.

The Opportunity:

In the dynamic environment of Mighty Networks, the role of a Revenue Accounting Operations Manager is central to managing the increasing complexities in accounts receivable, data integrity, internal controls, and system integrations. As we expand, your role will be instrumental in maintaining a streamlined accounts receivable and revenue process and delivering outstanding service to our partners. Your responsibilities will encompass collaborating closely with finance, sales, and customer success teams, aligning with the company's strategic objectives and growth. Reporting to the Controller, you will ensure seamless operations and superior customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage revenue transaction reconciliation, billing, collections, revenue recognition, commissions and sales tax/VAT compliance.
  • Provide support to sales and customer success teams, ensuring seamless processes throughout the customer lifecycle with our Mighty Pro and Path-to-Pro Plans.
  • Drive process optimization and automation in revenue operations for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Success, Finance, and IT teams to upgrade our revenue platform and contract management process for GAAP compliance.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Success, and Enterprise teams to integrate new products into our revenue process, ensuring scalability.
  • Generate regular reports, metrics, and insights on revenue operations for management and partners.
  • Work with the Finance and Accounting team to document processes and establish key controls for compliance and risk management.
  • Record monthly revenue recognition and commissions journal entries
  • Play a foundational role in building the revenue operations team.

Qualifications:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Expert in subscription billing, invoicing, and collections.
  • Experienced in project management, system design, and implementation.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable in ASC 606 (US GAAP) revenue recognition standards.
